Cabotage: The government resumes deregulation after agreeing on key changes with northern governors
The Argentine government is resuming the deregulation of cabotage with a new bill to be presented in Congress, following negotiations with northern governors. The main goal is to lower river transport costs and enhance the competitiveness of regional economies, allowing vessels of any flag to transport goods between Argentine ports. Furthermore, the bill includes a reduction in corporate income tax for companies operating under this new framework.
