The Argentine government has implemented a flexibilization of the wholesale electricity market to facilitate the entry of large users. This measure, which will be completed by 2029, includes the gradual elimination of limits on the production that plants can commit to free contracts. The procedures for access to the market have also been simplified, with the aim of increasing competition among generators and improving conditions for investments in the energy sector.
