Unanimous ruling for the creation of the national system for alert and traceability of critical health events
The bill to create the National System for Alert and Traceability of Critical Health Events (SNATECS) has received unanimous approval with 33 signatures in the Chamber of Deputies. This initiative arises from the contaminated fentanyl case of 2025 and aims to establish a notification and traceability regime for high-risk medications, thereby enhancing health safety in the country. Legislators from different blocs expressed their commitment to preventing future incidents and providing more tools to ANMAT to protect public health.
