Georges Breitschmitt, president of Ipcva, after meetings with European importers where Visec Carne was discussed: “We have been ready for a long time”
Georges Breitschmitt, president of the Argentine Beef Promotion Institute (Ipcva), met with European importers at the SIAL Paris 2026 fair to discuss compliance with the EU's deforestation regulation 1115. This regulation, effective January 1, mandates that meat products must not come from lands deforested after December 2020. Breitschmitt stated that Argentina is ready to meet these requirements through its traceability system, Visec.
