Words from the President of the Nation, Javier Milei, at Europa Viva 25
Hello everyone. Thank you very much for having me, even if this time it has to be from a distance. Thank you also to Vox, to Patriot, and to my great friend Santiago Abascal, who has always welcomed me even when everyone else turned their backs on me. It is a tremendous pride everything you have achieved alongside your team, I am sure that with you Spain will have a prosperous future secured.
First of all, I want to dedicate this address and express my condolences to the family of the martyr of liberty, the beloved Charlie Kirk. Charlie was brutally murdered in cold blood by an intolerant, a sympathizer of the terrorist organization ANTIFA, while conducting an open debate with students at the University of Utah Valley last Wednesday. However, unfortunately, this event was just one more graphic proof of what the left truly is in its pure state: hatred and resentment. They took away from us an exemplary warrior in the battlefield of ideas. Paradoxically, this attack was perpetrated and celebrated by those who accuse us of being violent when all we do is vehemently express the truth of our arguments.
If there’s one thing that characterized Charlie Kirk, it was his way of confronting through public debate the lies of socialists, dismantling them even in the smallest details. They murdered an impeccably peaceful person. Only God knows what will become of the soul of the scoundrel who pulled the trigger, but one thing I am sure of: this tragic murder must not be a reason to give up in the cultural battle, because the people who serve the noble and just cause of the liberty of our nations are merely instruments that will contribute to make it possible. For each one of us that falls, new advocates will emerge to succeed us.
I had the honor of meeting Charlie Kirk, an exceptional human being, who from his youth dedicated himself to working against the indoctrination of the hardline left in educational settings. In 2012, he founded Turning Point USA, an organization that expanded to 3,500 college and university campuses, a space to talk about capitalism and the fundamental rights of every individual. But before it became massive, there was a time when he did it in solitude or in small groups of people, something that inevitably reminds me of my beginnings in Argentina, when there were few of us defending the ideas of liberty in the media. Something that Santiago Abascal surely experienced in his early days, or many of the leaders of this movement globally.
Both Kirk and any of us are labeled by the leftists and progressives as extreme or radical when, in reality, we are so because we do not want criminals taking over our streets. We do not want an immigration invasion, we do not want them to burn and destroy our cities, and we will not accept being shot for saying what we think.
The real problem lies with the left, which, in its attempt to collectivize every aspect of our lives, also wants to tell us what to think; and when they come across someone who tells them no, and encourages others to do the same, they will do everything possible to silence them. Whether through massive discredit campaigns or directly with a bullet to the head, as they did with Charlie and with Miguel Uribe in Colombia.
They are at all times the home, a violent phenomenon full of hatred, but we must not fear them. Because, as the sacred scriptures say, they attack us filled with insolence and impiety to exterminate us, our women, and our children, and to seize our spoils. We, on the other hand, fight for our lives and for our customs. Heaven will crush them before us. Do not fear them, we do not fear them.
In short, if they attack us it is because we are doing the right thing and we are close to defeating them in the political, social, cultural, and economic realms. I urge you not to give up, to keep moving forward, for with Santiago Abascal and Vox you can lift Spain just as we are doing in Argentina.
And remember that victory in battle does not depend on the number of soldiers but on the forces that come from heaven.
Thank you all very much. ¡Viva Argentina! ¡Viva España! ¡Viva Vox! ¡Viva Patriot!
¡Viva Argentina! ¡Viva España! ¡Viva Vox! ¡Viva Patriot! ¡Viva la libertad, carajo!
